Hi, I am Kenneth, a PhD student in Plasma Physics at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Swiss Plasma Center (SPC) under the supervision of Prof. Christian Theiler. I believe nuclear fusion will play a key role in solving the challenges of climate change and energy crisis. My research focuses on the diagnostics and physics interpretation of plasma turbulence in the tokamak boundary, an area of fundamental importance in the operation and design of fusion energy reactors.

Before my PhD, I worked as a venture capital investor at the Corporate Venture Fund of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP). As an investor, I am interested in how deep technology start-ups can deliver scientific innnovation at scale. I have invested in a range of technology start-ups, such as additive manufacturing, robotics, and cancer immunotherapy.

Prior to EPFL, I read for a BA in Physics and an MMathPhys in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics, both at St. Hilda’s College, University of Oxford.
